Accounts Director
After graduating from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Art and Bachelor of Design, Darrin worked in sales and marketing, helping to bridge the gap between marketing and design. He spent 7 years at one of Canada’s leading international seafood companies, managing all of its marketing, domestically and abroad. As well as having extensive knowledge of all packaging-related production processes, Darrin has a keen understanding of what is needed to help our clients succeed with their marketing plans. Being from the Maritimes, Darrin has a soft spot for the ocean and the East, and it’s there that he learned to surf and to use the word "Dude" as a noun and an adjective.
Writer / Project Manager
Our writer/project manager keeps a weather eye on the progress of
all our jobs. Having worked in television, publishing and (our favourite)
as a cook on a Swedish freighter, Frances has developed a useful
talent for lateral thinking. She keeps us to our deadlines and produces
copy that's lively, direct, approachable. She also catches all our
"oops" typos. Her itchy feet have taken her to Hong Kong,
where she lived for 10 years, and to London, England, where she
obtained an MA in English Literature. Toronto is home now and we
welcome her contribution to e-Eync and we're not just saying
that so she'll keep bringing that incredible lemon loaf to the office,
honest!
Principal
John's formal training in design gave him an appreciation for the
pure Bauhaus approach and the beauty that's within simplicity. He's
been at it quite sometime and has picked up awards for design, typography
and creative direction. His experience in all facets of design communications
allows him to understand the objectives of a project and realizes
its potential solutions at the first meeting. His clients always
leave e-Sync knowing exactly what they want and what to expect.
Thanks to John's obsession with coffee, they've also come to expect
a good cup of brew.
Sr. Designer. Web / Interactive
You'd call her the arty type. She doesn't say a lot, but what she
says, counts. Her fine art degree from University of Toronto has
instilled in her an aesthetic sense that surpasses the ordinary
design rhetoric. Whether she's designing a stand-alone newsletter
or a complex direct mail campaign, she brings to her projects a
solid visual dynamic. Her Flash and HTML programming skills are
teamed with a passion for exploring and mapping the virtual world:
tracking trends in business and consumer sites is second nature.
Be warned if you ask about her favourite film directors,
it'll be a long conversation.
Designer. Web / Interactive
Wilfred's definitely a thinker. He brings to every project his unique
analytical skills, combined with an apparently bottomless pool of
technical know-how. Originally educated to be an economist at the
University of Western Ontario, Wilfred had a change of heart after
graduating and decided to devote his life to design, especially
web and interactive presentations. His talent has proved that he
embraced the right choice. We won't comment on his decisioin to
take up the guitar.
